WordPress Support Engineer

3 Media Web is searching for a WordPress Support Engineer to join our fast-paced & close-knit team. If you have a strong background with WordPress, love a good technical support challenge, and want to take charge of complex engineering initiatives, keep reading. 1. Support ticket resolution. This is the primary responsibility of the WordPress Support Engineer, and will account for the bulk of your day-to-day activities. Some tickets you will own outright, communicating directly with our clients. In other situations, you will be assigned tasks by a member of our Tech Services, Digital Marketing, or Web Solution Architect teams.

2. Custom engineering projects. The WordPress Support Engineer will scope, estimate, and code projects that extend the functionality of client sites. Examples include WooCommerce customization, cookie consent management, accessibility audit remediation, LMS implementation, and API integration for everything from job listings to CRM tools.

  • Research, suggest and implement development best practices.
  • Assess new plugins, frameworks, applications, and platforms for an optimal development workflow.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with our Digital Marketing and Tech Services teams.
  • In addition to the specific responsibilities above, generally lend your technical expertise to the internal team from pre-sales to post-launch.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of eCommerce, particularly WooCommerce.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, especially the WordPress REST API.
  • Comprehension of industry standards for accessibility, privacy, and security.

  • 5+ years of experience with WordPress

Nice to have:
