Arcade Snacks: Fine Nuts & Dried Fruits is a New England-based snack company that has grown from a home-based nut roasting business to a multi-facility company with worldwide distribution. The company was looking to update their digital presence and address issues with online ordering. 3 Media Web worked with them to build a modern storefront complete with intuitive cart functionality.
With an outdated and clunky user experience that took too many clicks to place a single order, Arcade Snacks was losing customers during the ordering process.
When the Covid-19 crisis struck, they experienced an influx of traffic to their website, which made a refreshed design and solution to the cart abandonment issue even more urgent. 3 Media Web needed to quickly create a website experience and ordering process as delectable as Arcade Snacks’ goodies.
The first step was to identify all the pain points related to the old site design—for end consumers and for Arcade Snacks. Once we knew what needed to change, we got to work to craft an engaging design and build an intuitive user experience.

We created a new vision for the Arcade Snacks site featuring a modern look and feel for the homepage, product categories, and product pages. Demonstrating their skill, our designers and developers were able to make these improvements to the shopping cart without the company having to change backend processes.
Improving usability was also an important component of the project. The new design resolved the cart abandonment challenge by drastically reducing the number of clicks required to add products to the shopping cart. You can now easily add products to your cart from either the category page or the product page by simply clicking the Add to Cart icon.
This project moved at lightening speed in order to capitalize on the increased website traffic the company was experiencing at the start of the pandemic. The discovery phase, initial planning, and new designs were completed within three weeks. Two weeks later, the development of the new Arcade Snacks website was finalized, had passed our stringent quality assurance testing, and successfully launched.
Thanks to a new and modern representation of their brand and an enhanced web shopping process, Arcade Snacks immediately saw an increase in online sales. And they also got rave reviews from their customers.
