Step Schwarz

Work

Step is passionate about problem-solving and loves a seemingly impossible challenge. In fact, he begins each day with a game of Tetris — and a strong cup of coffee. He brings this enthusiasm to 3 Media Web as Technical Director, where he manages our growing infrastructure and is our resident subject-matter expert for all things geek. Try not to get him reminiscing, or you may never hear the end of what it was like learning LOGO and BASIC at a computer camp in the 80s or being a BBS SysOp and developing hypermedia before the web, or patching FORTRAN for the 21st century. Step understands the importance of sharing what he knows and is a proponent of Open Source and STEAM education.

Play

When he is not fixated on a screen, you can find him in a museum, fixated on art.
